University of Connecticut College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Ecology & Evolutionary Biology Greenhouses

Research

The Ecology & Evolutionary Biology Greenhouse facilities house an average of 15-25 active research projects at any given time. Some of these projects are long-term research collections supporting the work of faculty members, others are multi-year projects for graduate student research. Project durations run the gamut from one semester to 10 years and longer in the case of some research collections.

Most of the research activities are housed in the Research Greenhouses atop the Biological Sciences / Physics building (BSP). This modern greenhouse facility contains ten 480sf growing areas with independently controlled climates.

Access is restricted to researchers and staff - there are no public tours of the Research Facility.
