Description: Also known as a mandarin orange. A circular round fruit that grows in trees. Color ranges from yellow to orange. The fruit has a pungent and bittersweet taste.
Uses: Used in traditional Chinese medicine to awaken stagnant qi, also known as Chen Pi: best for nausea/vomiting, abdominal bloating, and gastric problems indicating "Phlegm Damp symptoms." Helps with fatigue and lose stools as it promotes Qi downward. This herb also promotes function and strengthening of spleen. Both the fruit and the peel are prepared. 5
